Several Quick Items

A&R Habitat for Humanity Build:  A&R will be sponsoring a "build" on Friday 10/9/15 in New Britain.  Details

OPM Seeks RFP for Negotiations: The State has released an RFP seeking to hire private firms to "assist" in negotiating the labor contracts (this is getting fun now!)

Rowland Layoff Settlement: within the past week, employees impacted by the layoffs of 2002/03 should have received a "packet" from the lawfirm of Silver, Golub, Teitell.  The packet contained an explanation and Q&A about the agreement and also included an "Opt-Out" form.  Please DO NOT sign and return the Opt-Out form unless you DO NOT want to receive an award from this agreement.  It is expected that very few people will sign and submit this form.

Pat Carolan Honored:  Former A&R President (1989 - 1991) was honored by the White House and named a "Champion of Change" for his work on climate change.
