"On December 15, 2014, Bismarck Education Association (BEA) Member Scott Gefroh won his battle with the Bismarck Public School District (District) to go to arbitration when a district judge ordered the District to comply with the Negotiated
April 17 and 18 marked the 2nd Annual NDU Delegate Assembly. Members from across the state met in Bismarck, North Dakota to take care of business and create some memories.
Members in attendance were treated to a moving Color Guard, prsented by Myron Johnson/Nathan Goodiron American Legion Post 271, from Mandaree. North Dakota Senator Heidi Heitkamp spoke about the important education issues facing our country today and Attorney General Wayne Stehenjem stopped by to discuss what we can do to keep our kids safe from internet predators.
AFT-Maryland and Baltimore Teachers Union President Marietta English is featured in an important story on ways wrap-around services such as community schools and out of school time can significantly reduce the school-to-prison pipeline facing our young people today.

The results are in, and the message is clear: strong unions matter. Once again, every AFT-Wisconsin local union that pursued recertification was victorious, showing that even with the game rigged, union members still know how to organize for success.
